This online course is designed for all staff of companion animal veterinary practices, and will especially benefit veterinarians, veterinary technicians and clinic staff. This is the fourth module in a series of four that make up the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)’s Parasite Counselor Program.

After completing this course, you will have developed a foundational knowledge of common intestinal parasite lifecycles and how they impact the spread of disease, intestinal parasite testing methods and the use of preventive products, how to develop a communication plan for speaking to pet owners about zoonotic implications of these parasites, and how to become an advocate for intestinal parasites disease prevention in dogs and cats.
